We have a wonderful summer planned for our teenagers this year!

This summer we are starting with a Bang! We will learn the beauty of having freedom under Christ at our DiscipleNow weekend. This will be an amazing time to for teenagers to get to know each other better, get to know their summer staffers, and grow in their relationship with Christ. It is also a great opportunity for them to bring their friends. Plan for a crazy weekend June 1 - 3.

Not far from our kickoff is the Choir Tour/Mission Trip to New Orleans, June 9 - 17. This week will offer an amazing opportunity for our students to serve together in word and deed. The mission trip involves construction in the mornings and recreation camps in the afternoon.

Not too far down the line will be Summer Camp! We all know how incredible this week is for our teenagers. Details are "hush, hush" right now but I can tell you that they'll need a swimsuit! July 15 - 20 are the dates for this amazing time for our teens to grow in their faith, build deeper relationships with each other, perhaps begin a relationship with Christ Jesus, and have a blast!

Our graduating seniors will be headed down south to Costa Rica for a mission trip July 26 - August 4. We have a quite a few seniors and the cost is always tough for a teenager to meet. If you have interest in sponsoring a student or students, please let me know (via phone at 664-6008 or e-mail at josh.crosby@firstbaptistnashville.org.) Our teenagers have an incredible opportunity to impact the world around them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray for them as they embark in a life-changing experience.

In the midst of these events, there is also a great weekly schedule that involves weekly fun activities and Bible study with their summer staffer. The summer calendar will be coming soon to the website, the Evangel, Midweekly, and your mailbox! Stay tuned for Summer 2007!
