1. To serve as the "overseer" and "minister" for a group of students in a family.

To disciple students in the Christian life through modeling a
Christ-like life and to help them grow in the faith through
encouraging, loving and teaching them about how to live as a Christian
through God's Word.
3. To organize and plan each family time on
Wednesday evenings at "the Edge." This includes being prepared for your
time with your family, as well as, working with your other family
leader partners to be sure your family time is covered in your absence.
4. To take the time and energy to create atmosphere of love and acceptance within your family.
5. To pray for every one of your students every day by name.
6. To have a healthy sharing of the ministry with the family leaders in your family.

To contact every member of your family once every week. This can be
through family group time on Wednesdays, through phone calls, letters,
or any other way you see to keep in touch with your family.

Communicate with your fellow leaders in your family. Communication is
the key to having a successful year of ministry. Let each one know who
you are contacting and who needs to prepare the lesson each week.
9.
To help your family challenge and encourage one another through prayer
partners, accountability partners, prayer journals, notes for
birthdays, letters to non-active members or any other ideas that help
accomplish this purpose.
10. To participate in youth activities
outside of "the Edge"--Sunday Morning Bible Study, discipleship,
retreats, camp, and other events in order that you may be active and
growing in your own personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
11.
To support the core values of the FBC Student Ministry as well as the
overall plans and goals for the ministry and church as a whole.
12. To be an active member of First Baptist Church and personally growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
