We are so excited that you have decided to participate in DNOW ‘08. You are going to be a part of one of the most exciting events in the First Baptist Nashville Student Ministry. Hopefully, this letter will answer all of your questions.
Enclosed is the DNOW ‘08 SCHEDULE. The weekend kicks off on Friday night, January 18th. You will find out Friday night who your Host Family and Bible Study Leader will be. Bring your luggage to the Fellowship Hall where you can register and get all your info for the weekend. Our Kickoff Rally will be there.
Please note that the Parent Session originally scheduled for Friday night has been moved to Sunday, January 20 during January Basketball Huddle Group time, approximately 1:40 – 2:05 pm in the Rec Center. Nathan Dunman will be speaking.
A notarized copy of the 2008 Release Form is REQUIRED for participation. A notary will not be available at check-in, however, you may have your 2008 Release Form notarized during normal office hours(MTR 8-5, W 8-6, F 8-12:30) at the church office. If you have not already turned in your form, one has been attached. You may also fill it out online at www.firstbaptiststudents.org/release
What to Bring
+ Casual clothes
+ Nice jeans for Sunday morning worship (We’ll provide the long-sleeved
t-shirt!)
+ Work jeans, shirt and jacket for missions project
+ Toothbrush and toothpaste
+ Soap, Shampoo, Deodorant
+ Towels and Washcloths
+ Pillow and Sleeping Bag
+ Bible and Pen
+ Medication – (All medication needs to be labeled with instructions and
given to Hosts on Friday evening)
+ Your favorite snack for sharing
+ Please DO NOT BRING iPods, cd players, video games
+ If you bring a cell phone it MUST be turned off during sessions
Also enclosed is a Time Away Card. We hope that none of you will have to use your Time Away Card. However, these cards are provided for students who have an unavoidable conflict. No one will be able to leave their Host Home without a Time Away Card – it must be completed and signed by a parent and turned into your Host Home Parents when you check in on Friday night. DO NOT turn this card in to the youth office.

DiscipleNow BEHAVIOR CONTRACT
1. I will obey my Adult Leaders without question or hesitation.
2. I will let my Adult Leaders know where I am at all times. It is my responsibility
to tell my Adult Leaders where I will be during free time.
3. I will not use profanity.
4. I will have a positive attitude.
5. I will keep my Host Home clean. No raids or rough play allowed. My parents
and I are financially responsible for any damage to property.
6. I will not be out of my Host Home after the night’s curfew.
7. I will be on time for all activities.
8. I will not bring or purchase any of the following:
9. I will not bring excessive cash, expensive jewelry or other items that
may be lost or stolen.
10. I will wear appropriate, conservative clothing. The following are not allowed:
short shorts, tight clothing, skimpy tank tops, halter tops or other revealing
clothing.
11. I understand that I am not to use TV or Radio during the entire weekend
unless permitted by an adult leader.
